Terms of Service

These are the ground rules for using Kamado Boom. I have kept them short and in plain English. By using the site you agree to them.

Who runs the site

Kamado Boom is a cooking blog written by me, Frank, in the UK. You can reach me at [email protected] or through the contact page.

Recipes are a guide, not a guarantee

Everything here is what worked for me, on my grills, on the day. Your fire, your kit, your ingredients and the weather will all be different, so treat times and temperatures as a starting point.

Cooking over fire has real risks, and when you cook from this site you are responsible for doing it safely. In particular:

  • Check that meat, poultry and fish are cooked through with a thermometer, and follow current official advice such as the Food Standards Agency’s guidance.
  • Check every ingredient yourself if you or your guests have an allergy or an intolerance.
  • Follow the maker’s instructions for your grill, and take care with fire, hot charcoal, sharp knives and raw meat.

Nothing on the site is medical, dietary or professional advice, and any nutrition figures are estimates.

My words and pictures

Unless I say otherwise, the recipes, words and photographs on Kamado Boom are mine and are protected by copyright.

You are welcome to cook from them, print them for your own use and share a link to any page. If you would like to use a photo or republish a recipe, on another website or in anything you sell, please ask me first.

Comments and ratings

Comments and ratings are welcome. When you leave one:

  • keep it friendly, and about the food;
  • do not post spam, adverts, anything unlawful or abusive, or anything that is not yours to share;
  • you still own what you write, and you give me permission to show it on the site.

I may edit or remove any comment. Comments are public; the Privacy Policy explains what is kept with them.

Links to shops, and adverts

Some links on Kamado Boom are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site earns a small commission and you pay nothing extra. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Other websites and shops are not under my control. What you buy from a shop is between you and the shop, and their own terms and privacy policy apply.

If something goes wrong

The site is free, and I work to keep it accurate and online, but I cannot promise it will always be available, complete or free of mistakes.

As far as the law allows, I am not responsible for loss or damage that comes from using the site or following a recipe. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your own courts.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date below shows the latest version, and it applies from then on.
